What is the CTET exam?
CTET Full form is the “Central Teacher Eligibility Test”. CTET exam is conducted by the C.B.S.C. Central Board of Secondary Education . Ministry of Education, Government of India has given the responsibility of conducting the exam to C.B.S.C. They conducted this exam twice every year. CTET 2025 Eligibility
If you want to appear in this exam you must fulfill the eligibility condition, which is simple
- you must appear or pass the teaching diploma or degree. Here we also clear your confusion related to degree or diploma.
- Minimum age for CTET is 17 and there is no upper age limit to apply for CTET.
B.Ed. (or it is equivalent) is considered a Teaching Degree. B.T.C. (D.El.Ed.) (or its equivalent) is considered a Teaching Diploma.
CTET 2025 Fee
CTET exam has two papers, Paper 1 and Paper 2 you can apply for any one of these papers or you can apply for both papers. You can see the fee in the table below.

For qualifying CTET 2025 exam you must get 60% marks in the exam. There are 150 questions in both paper 1 and paper 2 so the cutoff is 90 marks for a single paper.
